My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maryland, one of Molly's adorable puppies! We think you'll agree—she's one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet! With her calm, laid-back nature, Maryland is a relatively low-energy girl who enjoys quiet moments just as much as a good play session when the mood strikes. While she’s content to relax and snuggle, she also enjoys some fresh air on a nice walk. And she's hilarious to watch when the zoomies strike and she runs laps around the room for some fast-paced exercise, only to follow it up with a nice long nap.

Maryland is a true cuddle bug—she loves her belly rubs, ear scratches, and naps on the couch. She’s also a fan of her chew toys, which keep her happily occupied when she's not curled up with her favorite humans. Quiet and gentle, she’ll let you know when she has something on her mind, but for the most part, she’s easygoing and content.

Her crate training has progressed nicely, and she now readily enters the crate (with some enticement from a nice treat) if you have to leave her unattended for some period of time. She has also made progress with her potty training, once you catch on to her cues and establish a schedule, but she is still working on mastering the skill.

Maryland is a social girl who LOVES the company of other dogs, often gaining confidence and comfort from her canine friends. She is often found sleeping right on top of them in typical pack-animal fashion :)  She’s a true people-pleaser and bonds deeply with both humans and her furry pals. Her tiny curly-Q tail frequently wags with excitement, and she’s ready to give her love to someone special.

Maryland’s ideal home would be one where she can share her gentle spirit with a loving family or individual who’s looking for a loyal, affectionate companion. She may be a little shy at first, but once she bonds with you, she’ll be your devoted best friend for life. If you're looking for a sweet, calm, and loving dog who wants to snuggle and enjoy life with you, Maryland might be the perfect match!

Maryland is being fostered in Limerick (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania and will be ready to head to her furever home on or after 11/23/2024.

More about this rescue

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
