Bella is a very sweet 9 month old puppy who wants to be the object of your affection. As far as puppies go, she’s pretty low-key but does like to romp around. She will play fetch and has a good hound nose. Bella gets along with dogs and cats but might do better with ones who have a medium to higher energy as she is still young and likes to play. She definitely has a beagle bark so you must be OK with a dog who likes to talk during play and when alerting you to strangers. But is quiet in her kennel when it's time to chill. For being so tiny, Bella is also a excellent jumper! Stealth like a ninja and high like a pole volter. The good thing is that she is usually just trying to get to us!
Bella has had a very ruff start to life. She was adopted by her dad for his daughter, as a companion dog, after his wife and oldest daughter died in the flood of 2022. The dad almost lost his life too and is still battling nose and respiratory illness from the infections the water caused him and they couldn’t keep her. She went into the shelter in Kentucky and did not do well. She shut down making it difficult for potential adoptors to see her true colors. She was pulled by a foster down there, she did very well with their other Household pets and we brought her up here to give her a better chance at life and adoption. She is a curious but very skidish puppy who will need time to relax and adjust. I have confidence that she will catch on quickly.
If you looking for a smaller dog to give your life some value and spark, this is your dog! A fun little wiggly dog, sure to steal your heart.
Because Bela is young and has bounced around, she will need a refresher on potty training .

All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam. All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources. Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found! Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.
