Hi there, my name is Adam, and I have a story to tell... I was a lost Chihuahua mix about 2 years old, just 13 lbs, wearing someone's shirt around my waist and a set of bat wings, when San Antonio Animal Services picked me up. They named me Batman, blasted my picture all over Facebook and everyone was trying to reunite me with my owner and it appeared to work! My owner’s friend posted they were coming to get me, but they never did, and after 5 days of waiting, my time was up and I was set for euthanasia. That's the sad reality of being a stray dog in a state overcrowded with strays, just not enough room at the pound and the dog rescues are all full. Just as I had given up hope, 4 Little Paws stepped in and at the 11th hour saved my life! Whew, that was a close call! I am now fully vetted, healthy, and safe, and having a blast with my new foster parents and all the other dogs they care for, and best of all, I am ready to be adopted!
It turns out I am a total sweetheart, but shy at first. Once I know you, I’m in love, bond deeply, and then adjust well to new situations. I’m great with new doggy friends and play with them very appropriately. I like all dogs, big, small and even annoying puppies. I'm not too interested in doggy toys and a bit picky with doggy treats, but I LOVE my people, am very affectionate, and happily share doggy kisses. I am well-behaved, quiet, and housebroken and my foster parents let me be free-range in the house while they are away. I LOVE going for walks and being your road trip travel buddy, and I don't mind being dressed up, even with bat wings. I sat so proudly for picture day like a little gentleman, fully aware that this would be my ticket to a better life as someone's forever dog. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
