Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Microchipped, DOB: Sept 24, 2013
Petula is a gentle soul looking for love. She is always eager for pets, and can be found in the same room as her humans to make sure she gets lots of attention. She is a quiet cat who tends to only make noise by meowing when she’s hungry or purring when she is being petted.
Petula is a very affectionate cat, who enjoys lounging on your lap, cuddling beside you in bed, and giving you head butts. If she’s sitting beside you and you aren’t petting her, she’ll remind you by gently putting a paw on her hand to indicate she wants pets.
Petula is a well behaved kitty, who has (mostly) stayed off kitchen counters and dinner tables in her foster home. She will patiently sit beside her foster parents during dinner waiting for her own food to be served. She is also extremely friendly with new people, and is excited to be pet by whoever is willing!
Petula enjoys playing mostly in the evenings, however the main toys that have caught her interest is reflective light. Although laser toys aren’t typically recommended, because of her age and her familiarity with the toy that is the one she plays with the most. Her foster mom always tries to end a laser session with the wand toy to reinforce the feeling of catching something physical. The minute you pick up the laser, Petula will run to you, eager to play!
Petula is slightly overweight, however with the correct diet and continued exercise, she will be down to an average weight in no time! She is also a picky eater, which is great for her not eating human food, but when it comes to diet she prefers only kibble. Petula loves to drink water, however she never drinks it out of a bowl, only mugs!
Petula recently had 9 teeth removed. She is healthy and recovering well. Her forever home will have to keep oral hygiene mind to keep her mouth healthy
Petula’s soft coat and her eagerness to be around you makes her the perfect cuddle buddy. She makes anyone who meets her fall in love with her, and she’ll show that attention right back by spending quality time with you. Her loving personality shows she was cared for deeply and she is just looking for another home to show her love.
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $200.
