Meet Alvin, a tiny little guy with a big personality! At just 7 pounds, this playful and affectionate pup is packed with energy and charm. Alvin is the epitome of a happy, active pup - always ready for fun and eager to share his love. Despite his young age, estimated at around 1 to 1.5 years old, he's already showing off his smarts by mastering "sit" and making great strides in his house training. With his adorable looks and sharp mind, Alvin is not only cute as can be but also a quick learner. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
