This is what Nova's foster family has to say about her: “Nova is such a sweetheart! She was very nervous and unsure when she first came into our home. For the first 2 days, she would let out a high pitched scream when we picked her up. Now, she comes right up to us and asks to be held! She also gets so excited to see us when we come home. She does great with our dogs. She has tried to play with the smaller ones a couple of times, but she will usually just nap next to one of them on the couch. She would do fantastic with another dog that is laid back or she would be fine being the one and only! She loves food and eats perfectly right alongside the other pups. Nova is kennel trained, potty trained, does great in the car, and is wonderful on a leash. She’s a huge cuddler, but if a lap is not available, she will snuggle up on the back of the couch. We cat tested her with another foster family, and she did really well. She was curious at first but then completely ignored the kitty.“ Nova is nervous when she first meets someone so her adopters need to be patient and give her a little time to warm up in her new environment, but she does bond super hard and fast! She seems to bond faster with women, then with men. Nova is a 3 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix weighing about 12lbs. If you are interested in adopting her, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org!

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
