My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chonk Alert! Greetings, Big Bear here! I am a six year old, living room panther who is full of life and has loads of love to give. I also have a very full belly and am quite fluffy. This only makes me that much more cuddly. I am one foot tall, with shiny black fur and understanding eyes of green.

Six years ago I was adopted as a kitten and went to the very best home a cat could ask for! There I was very loved and taught how to be a very good boy. Recently, my mom passed and now I am back at Paws Patrol looking for my next very best home. Right now I am trying to help the volunteers with their computer skills and they are trying to help me lose a little weight. I'm enjoying feather wand aerobics, cat nip calisthenics, and stretching in the sun. In my down time I look for the smallest, darkest space to squeeze into so I would love a home with a cupboard or closet to snooze in.

Our fees are $65 per kitten under 12 months of age (2 for $100) and $30 for all other cats. We have an application and contract to complete and in some instances, we may do a home visit. If everything checks out during the application process, your new kitty can go home that day.

Go meet their pets

Our shelter is at 750 West Camino Casa Verde in Green Valley, AZ and we are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 2pm. We also have cats at Petco in Sahuarita Thursday through Sunday and a volunteer is available at the store on weekends 11am to 2pm. If you need to schedule a different time to see our available cats, please call the office and generally we can make arrangements.

More about this rescue

We started in 2006 specifically to Trap/Neuter/Return feral cats in our communities in an effort to humanely reduce the outdoor cat population. At the time, we were home based. In 2015, we opened a small shelter. Although our primary mission is still TNR, we take in outdoor cats and kittens who are adoptable as we have room. Our goal is to reduce the number of cats outside, feral, stray and loosely owned and help keep them and our communities safe. We have no paid staff and about 30 volunteers work in our program.
