Hello, I'm Dove. I'm full of life and love to share. My days are filled with running, jumping, and playing. I'm a quick learner, too. I've mastered a few tricks and commands, which I'm always eager to show off. I love making friends and I'm always gentle and kind. I've got a heart full of love and I'm looking for a special someone to share it with. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend, a joyful playmate, and a devoted companion. I promise to bring endless love, laughter, and happiness into your life.

Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
