My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Love, love, love without any reservation! Dos is a most lively and friendly gentleman I would never miss visiting when I am at the care center! He is so welcoming, engaging and a great lap cat who really enjoys the company of his visitors he wishes would never end. He likes treats but petting is really what he loves. Dos really makes me laugh(and not only me) as he is sooo excited to make friends and wanting to leave his kennel. He makes the best biscuits. He does not mind being outfitted with bows. He can not contain his enthusiasm....Handsome Dos came with his friends Uno and Tres as their caretaker unfortunately passed away. The trio needs a home together or separately...Dos is a senior quite up and about and with lots of love and entertainment to provide to a new owner or family. He is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center.

Dos is an extremely sweet and slightly nervous cat who was on top of the den with very large pupils looking wary. He was curious about treats and leaned forward to sniff them, and then began leaning in for cheek rubs, and gave vigorous head bunts. He stretched his neck as if he wanted to come down, but he couldn't quite bring himself to do it at first, but with extended petting he was able to come down and forward for more petting and attention. He struggled slightly when picked up, but tolerated it and remained friendly when set back down giving more head bunts.

Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It does not appear that the medical condition is affecting his behavior.

Dos interacts with the assessor, appreciates & solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. At the time of the assessment he was slightly nervous but very friendly as well and adopter's should be counseled on this and the need for a slow introduction to the home. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
