Hi, I'm Buddy! I'm a very handsome guy, with the most velvety ears. I am said to have “big cuddle energy”. You may have heard that I'm blind, but it doesn't bother me, I get around on my own with no issues. My foster mom spent time safeguarding the house before I arrived, but I showed her right away that I my other stellar senses make-up for my eyes. I can easily find my food and water, I run up and down the stairs, figured out the dog door in one day, and have no trouble getting in the car for adventures, in fact, I love adventures! I am also perfectly potty-trained, and crate-trained. My hearing is very good, I overheard my foster mom say that my blindness has caused me to feel a little vulnerable and on alert util I have a chance to do my own research. I do use my skills to alert the neighbors to any strange noises, and it takes a little extra time for me to trust new people, dogs, and learn new sounds. I may enjoy and feel safe in a home with a buddy, but I would need a slow introduction, and maybe need a female friend.
Physical touch is my love language; I always want to have my paws on you. However, I'm learning that not everyone likes that, so we are working on not jumping and standing on you. I am very loving, and I show love for my people when I kiss and nibble their ears, probably why I'm the only dog allowed on the couch here. I am looking for a quiet, patient home that will share a lot of love and physical touch with me, a family that will have time to hang out, take me on adventures, and continue my training. If you think that we would be a good fit, I would love to show you what getting your ear nibbled is like, you will love it! Click my link so we can meet.
