Tasha is my funny pup! She will make you laugh with her silly antics. If she’s not trying to lick between a gate or the crack of a cupboard, she’s sleeping in an empty bowl! She really doesn’t know why dishes are NOT dog beds?? Tasha is always happy too, if you talk to her, her tail starts thumping immediately! This girl is so happy and is always trying to show you that she just loves being by you. Fun, affectionate, friendly, loving, playful and goofy too all rolled in to one cuddly puppy! Tasha loves all people and other dogs. She hasn’t had a chance to meet cats, as we don’t have any, but I think with a nice introduction there shouldn’t be an issue. Tasha loves to be picked up and held too, so maybe getting held close by you and yours will be on her list to give Thanks for!
Tasha is estimated to be 10 weeks old and 9 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. We only adopt out animals to homes within 60 miles of the Twin Cities. Our adoption process begins with the return of our pre-adoption form, available on our website. After reviewing your application a meeting is scheduled between you and the pup, sometimes in the fosters home or at a neutral dog friendly place. If any resident dogs are in your home, it is recommended that the pups meet at this time. After the meeting a home visit is scheduled and if everything goes well with the visit the adoption is finalized at that time. A home visit by one of Safe Hands representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pup will be living sometime during the adoption process.

Safe Hands is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters. Of great importance to us is to reduce the stray population and need for healthy animal euthanasia through spay/neuter programs, education, and promotion of respect for the furry creatures that share our lives.
We are a small, no-kill, volunteer run organization. All of our dogs listed are in foster homes waiting to be adopted and because of this, we get to know the dogs' personalities very well and use this information to match them to an appropriate home. We do not have a physical shelter.
This rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so it is dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. We have a great need for foster homes. If you are interested in providing foster care, and live within an hour of the Twin Cities, please e-mail us
