My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

A volunteer writes: Accordion gently wrapped his big fluffy paw around my hand to pull it closer to his face and won my heart in the process. Adorable as his sweet little move was, it was also an affectionate way to say we're friends. It took us a few extra moments to get there, but it was worth it. Accordion isn't so sure about the shelter right now. He'd been huddled in the back of his cubby like a majestic fluff and welcomed me when he noticed the treat I had. I happily held his beloved squeeze up snack and was prepared to stand there all day, but then Accordion had a change of heart. Making new friends can sometimes take time and Accordian comes along when he's ready. He has a roster of adorable moves like leaning his cheeks and head into my hand, softly purring, and of course, pulling my hand to his face. I could've sat like this for hours, but each time the door opened Accordion would take a step back and we'd have to start again. While we don't know too much about Accordion's history prior to coming to the shelter, we know he's going to shine when given the chance.
