Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Quinn arrived at NCCR on 11/6/24 after being found roaming stray and frightened in a neighboring town. She appeared to have had puppies recently, and seemed to still have a healing c-section scar – it is suspected that she was dumped when her puppies no longer needed their mom. Since no one came forward to claim her, Quinn is now looking for a loving forever family of her own. She is an approximately 2–3-year-old female, believed to be an English Bulldog mix. Quinn is apprehensive and somewhat defensive with strangers, both people and dogs, but warms up quite quickly once she sees they mean her no harm. A little sweet talk and a few treats go a long way to win her over! Quinn is an affectionate cuddler who can’t get enough attention and belly rubs. She may take a little longer to feel safe and comfortable with new acquaintances, but once she does, you’ll have a devoted best friend for life! More info to come as we get to know her better.
If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application found at caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.
We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.
*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.
