Butter will melt your heart! He has a wonderfully goofy personality that will always keep you laughing. He is friends with everyone he meets- dog or human! Butter has never met a stranger. He’s about 1 years old and weighs 40 lbs. He’s the perfect size to load up and go anywhere with you. He may sound big but boy is he the definition of a pocket Pittie!
Going to start with total transparency so we find the right fit for him! Butter’s butt hole will occasionally leak poop, approx 4-100x per day. Extensive testing was done by the rescue and there’s nothing more we can do to fix this other than keeping him on the right diet and probiotics. He is on a grain free diet. He lives a COMPLETELY normal and happy life other than this issue.
His foster brothers and sisters include an 85lb male Dane mix, a 45 lb male Pittie, a 50lb female Pittie, 2 little puppies AND a female senior cat! He is great with other dogs and cats! He is the most friendly and social boy ever.
Butter looks to be a pit bull mix and he lives in a loving foster home while he awaits someone to notice him!
Butter is kennel trained and potty trained when he isn’t accidentally leaking. He knows he is leaking too and will beg to go outside by crying. He is great on leash and is a quick learner! He loves treats and is food motivated. He is well mannered in the home and laid back, mostly napping unless it is playtime with the other dogs. If lounging around the house, he’d love to lay with you or at your feet. His big cushy bed is his favorite! He will need a machine washable one as he will occasionally leak on it.
The cutest thing about Butter is:
Butter is a very happy boy and gets so excited every day for everything! Whether it be crunching on a bone, eating his food, going outside, or going on a walk- he loves it all. Attention is the key to his heart, next to food! Car rides are also his favorite thing because he knows he gets to get a pup cup! Boy does he love some Starbucks!
Butter is a big couch potato and will stretch out either next to you or over you, it doesn’t matter! He can get comfy anywhere. Butters foster says his favorite place to snuggle is on the outdoor couch when it’s sunny out. He will lay right over her legs or spoon her in the crack of the pillows! This boy loves to lay belly up and scratches are always welcome.
He would make a wonderful adventure partner. He loves the outdoors and sun bathing. He enjoys rolling around in the grass and his foster says his favorite time to do so is when it’s freshly cut and it stains the white of his face green! He enjoys going on hikes or trips to the beach. He does have to stop for potty breaks more frequently but it does not slow him down any!
Butter is searching for a family who will love him just the way he is. His imperfections and all! Someone who can look past his disability and love him unconditionally. Mess and all. His foster mom cannot rave enough about him! Apply now to adopt Butter. He is such a special boy!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
