My name is Rayleigh!

Hello there, I'm Rayleigh! I'm a short-haired Lilac Point Siamese with big, beautiful blue eyes, born approximately 9/20/23. I wear a hearts collar w/ teal clasp. I'm a bit of a work-in-progress when it comes to trusting humans. I came from a difficult breeding background--one that didn't involve a lot of gentle handling or that feeling of safety so I'm learning a lot under Wild Blue's care. I'm a little cautious around new people and lots of activity, and easily startled. I need a slow, steady approach, and if you're calm and patient with me, I'll lean into a gentle neck rub that grows into petting down my back. I'm relaxing more these days and my purrs are growing in frequency. I sometimes need a break if it feels overwhelming. I watch my humans closely, learning from every movement. Wet food is a fast track to my heart, and I'll appreciate anyone who brings a tasty treat my way. I need a calm, adult-only home with a predictable routine, so I can start to settle in and feel secure. I've been around other cats all my life, and I often times snuggle with my relative felines, so if you are willing to consider me with one of my relatives, that would be great! I would need a slow and gradual introduction into my new home or with any other cats, per Wild Blue's instructions. I'm looking for a peaceful home where I can relax and come out of my shell. If you're patient, gentle, and have a soft spot for shy cats like me, I'd love to meet you. It might take me a little time, but I promise I'm worth the wait.
