My name is Reatta!

Hi there, I'm Reatta! I'm a quiet female Lilac Point Siamese, born approximately 9/16/19. You'll recognize me by my grey collar with a dark pink clasp. I might seem shy at first, and that's because I came from a breeding situation that went a bit off track, and I didn't get much loving human attention back then. It takes me a while to trust new people, so I need someone who's patient and willing to go at my pace. At Wild Blue I've learned that neck rubs are pretty amazing, and if you're gentle and slow, I lean into full-body pets sooner or later. The trick is to start with a few soft scratches around my neck and give me time to warm up. I startle easily with loud noises or sudden movements, so I'm hoping for a calm, quiet home where I can feel safe. I would do best in an adult household with a consistent routine--it helps me feel more secure. Oh, and did I mention I love wet food? That's definitely the way to my heart, and it has helped me feel closer to my people. I needed to add a little weight too. I had a dental recently, which was a big deal for me, as some teeth had to come out, and now I can really enjoy eating. I've lived with other cats all my life, so I should be good with others, given a slow introduction per Wild Blue's instructions. I'm not sure about any dogs though.
