My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lucie!

Lucie is a 4 month old (born June 22/24 approx) DSH snowshoe point kitten. She is house-trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She has one vaccination booster left so until then will be part of MAR's Foster-to-Adopt program.

Lucie is the epitome of gentleness, her soft purrs are like a soothing lullaby. Despite her shy demeanor, she has a knack for warming up to people, her trust is a treasure to earn. When Lucie is comfortable, her playful antics are a joy to watch, her enthusiasm for life is infectious. We think Lucie's perfect home is with a quiet person or couple, with or without another kitty. Lucie is waiting for a loving home where she can thrive and be cherished. If that could be you please visit our website www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and fill out an application.

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka. Please contact us to make an appointment to see an animal.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
