My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These three precious kittens - Rose, Petal, and Thorn - are a lovely trio of shy hearts, each with a sweet personality waiting to bloom with the right gentle guidance.

Thorn is the bravest of the three, already starting to purr when you gently pet him. While still shy, he's the first to venture closer to people and is eager to explore when he feels safe. His presence helps his sisters feel a bit bolder too.

These little ones may initially give a nervous hiss when meeting someone new, but they never show aggression. Instead, they're just learning to feel safe and would do best in a calm, patient home where they can slowly adjust to their surroundings. With the help of a resident kitty friend, they're sure to blossom into affectionate, loving companions.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease
