Thelma and Dash are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair.
- This cat has been diagnosed with patellar luxation of the right knee (more info at ARL)
This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life!
This cat came from a situation where they did not get the socialization that house cats typically get from a young age. Because of this, they may be fearful in new situations and when meeting new people, may need help getting used to a carrier, and may never enjoy being picked up and held. Since this cat has lived with other cats, they may benefit from having another cat friend to help them build confidence and show them the ropes. You can find more info here about cats from hoarding situations and how to work with them to set them up for success.
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
