How Irwin arrived:
Irwin was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why Irwin might be the one for you:
Calling all Qualcomm employees, family and friends, would you be willing to share your home with Irwin Jacobs? Yes, Irwin Jacobs needs a home!! Irwin needs the basics of life. We are not sure how it happened but our Irwin Jacobs is in a temporary foster home where she is comfortable but our Irwin needs a real home. Our Irwin is a lovely older female cat with a quiet and gentle disposition who still has plenty of life and love to give to her family. Our Irwin is not picky about her home. It does not need chandeliers. A calm environment where the vibes are soothing and the caring is great is what our Irwin wants. A soft cushion where she can watch the outdoors might be nice. Most important will be a lap (or two) that she can snuggle with her human will be most appreciated. You don't have to know about Qualcomm to make our Irwin Jacobs a very happy cat. A big heart to love and care for our Irwin is enough for her. And, think of the reaction when you tell your friends that Irwin Jacobs is living at your place and would like to meet them. To get started, contact us at the above info and we will make arrangements for our Irwin to meet you.

At SDHS:
Irwin has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
