Here's what you need to know about me:

I'm Marlo, a brave but still somewhat fearful kitten. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was a bit wary of new people and situations. I would sometimes hiss or dart away if anyone made quick movements around me. But I've also shown that I have a bold, confident side. I love exploring my surroundings and playing with toys, and I really enjoy getting gentle pets, especially when enticed with tasty Churu treats. I know that with a patient, understanding family to help me feel secure, I'll continue coming out of my shell. While I may need a slower introduction to my new home, I'm sure I'll make an amazing, playful companion once I've had time to adjust at my own pace.

If there are kids in my new home, I need them to be older than 6 and would prefer to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington uses the following guidelines for adoptions:

1. Adopted animals will be spayed or neutered prior to their adoption.

2. Adopted animals will be placed as companion animals.

3. Adopted animals must be kept in accordance with all local laws and ordinances.

4. All animals leaving the shelter must be wearing identification and restrained by leash or carrier.
