🐕 Me & Humans👨🏻
Hi all! My name is Joey and I have been living in the shelter since I was a little puppy for about a year. I was once on the euthanasia list but luckily got rescued before anything bad happened. I might appear to be little bit shy and nervous in the beginning and end up trying to hide myself but that does not mean I want to avoid meeting people. I just do not know what to do! ☹ I was never taught how to welcome people but just give me some time and I will eventually come out and wait patiently to get petted! Oh, treats🧁might help as I can open my heart more easily, so you might want to prepare some in advance! Once I get to know you, I will show my belly and let you lift me up. I have been in the shelter for a long period of time and was not exposed to humans that much and that is the reason why I do not know how to approach them politely!
🐕With Dogs & Cats🐈
Although I can be little nervous and shy with new humans, greeting my kind🐕is not difficult! I know how to politely say hello to them, get along with friends in different sizes, and even if someone tries to fight against me, I never get involved. I usually step aside and do my own business. With cats🐈, I show zero interest. I do not like or dislike them🤔.
🔋Walks & Resource Guarding & Potty Break🚶
My energy level is moderate and after my outdoor adventure, I like to sit down on my couch and relax quietly. I might pull on the leash🚶but still try to obey my human's guidance so please bear with me 😊. I do not guard my food🥩 against anybody whether they are humans or my own kind. I am also crate-trained and prefer to take my potty break💩outside during my walk. There is a chance that I might start marking in new environment so when you take me to someone else’s house, always remember to bring some pee-pads just in case! 🗇

I remember spending my entire year being in a tiny crate without socializing with furry friends and humans. It was miserable but thankfully I got rescued. Despite my lack of social skills, it only took me a week to make friends. The world was, and still is, full of cool things. I am still discovering new things everyday, and I am so ready to start my discovery with my new family as soon as possible! If I find my forever home and family, I will be an affectionate loyal companion that can bring “JOEY” in the house🏠. To proceed to the next step, please contact me and my trusted humans!
