Liberty is a short haired, pale blond tabby boy, technically called “red dilute”. At about 4 1/2 months old, he is active and playful with anything or anybody and periodically comes running to the fosterer for emergency hugs and petting. He gets along well with other cats and kittens and with people after he gets to know them a little. Liberty’s favorite toys are anything he can get to play with, especially soft things he can carry or harder balls he can bat around. He eats wet and dry kitten food and likes fish flavors and chicken best. A State Trooper found Liberty’s mom, Sunshine, and 6 kittens by the side of the road and brought them to the shelter. The kittens went up for adoption but Sunshine was pregnant and went to foster care where she had four kittens, three males and a female (Jubilee, Liberty, Opal Lee, and Promise) on 6/19/24 (Juneteenth). Sunshine was adopted after the kittens were weaned and now they’re ready for forever homes. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter. 806-622-0555.
