Opal Lee is a 4 1/2 month old female calico tabby with short hair. She is lean and active but more reserved than her brothers. A State Trooper found Opal Lee’s mom, Sunshine, and 6 kittens by the side of the road and brought them to the shelter. The kittens went up for adoption but Sunshine was pregnant and went to foster care where she had four kittens, three males and a female (Jubilee, Liberty, Opal Lee, and Promise) on 6/19/24 (Juneteenth). Sunshine was adopted after the kittens were weaned and now they’re ready for forever homes. Opal Lee tolerates other cats and kittens but prefers people she knows. Her favorite toys are smaller things she can bat around or chasing a dragged ribbon or wand toy. Opal Lee eats wet and dry kitten food and Temptations are her favorite treats. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter., 806-622-0555.
