My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This lovely lady is Nora. Nora was an owner surrender who stated she was having seizures. Our neurologist saw her, ran blood work, did neurological testing and started her on some epilepsy medicine. After her being with us for a couple of months and not having a seizure, I removed her from the medicines, she has not had a seizure. It appears this may have been a misconstrued reason for surrender. However, Nora is a joy! She is house trained, crate trained, does well with all dogs, very easy going and loving. d.o.b. 2/7/24

We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org

Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com

More about this rescue

Both a rescue and a sanctuary Our Lil' Bit of Heaven strives to save as many of the “underdogs” as we possibly can. The seniors, the ones with medical needs, the bully breeds, the overlooked and tossed away. All of which deserve as much as any other but, are overlooked time and time again. You can help us do that by volunteering (at the rescue or helping with events), fostering, forever fostering, adopting, donating (monetary and in-kind).

Our purpose is to save the lives of as many canines as we are capable of and find loving homes that are the perfect forever fit for them. To educate the public in proper care of their companions, assist families in financial distress to be able to keep their furry loved ones with them by supplying food, vaccinations, spay/neuter help, preventatives etc.
