My name is Jentry and I am a handsome male mini panther with a black fur coat with a touch of white. The first time I met Jentry, he walked over and curled up in my lap. He is a very loving kitty, enjoys petting and his purr machine can be heard. Jentry loves to play and enjoys the company of other felines. He adores his human friends and will run to greet you. Jentry enjoys napping in a sunny spot or cuddle with his buddies either feline or human. He has a birthdate of 7/22/2024, up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is looking for an indoor home with toys and a family he could shower with love. If you are looking to keep your lap warm this winter, come meet Jentry….he is one of the original lap tops!

The animals in our care urgently need a permanent home where someone can provide individual loving care and attention. Please consider adopting your family pet from the Humane Society of McCormick County. We require that you sign an adoption agreement wherein you commit to take proper care of the pet. The adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $65 for cats. Every animal has been given all appropriate vaccinations. Every animal that is old enough has been spayed/neutered.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of McCormick County is a private, non-profit, no-kill organization formed in September 2000. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and we operate the only shelter in the county. Our rural county is a very poor county in South Carolina.

McCormick County does not allocate any money for a county or city shelter and we do not have any veterinarians in our county.

We are all our county has for any help with animals.

We approach this problem through our "No more litters... fix your critters" low cost spay/neuter program. We altered a total of 272 dogs and cats in 2020! (95 McCormick County owned dogs and cats free of charge to those who qualified for it, 119 HSMC rescues, and 58 trap-neuter/spay-return-monitor.)
