Microchipped, DOB April 7, 2024
I am very good natured and will accept pets and kisses from anyone. I can be really snuggly and like to lay on your chest or on your lap while you work. Sometimes I just want to be picked up and held, so I’ll come up to you and sing so you can hold me like a baby. At night, my favourite place to sleep is on your pillow with you. During the day I prefer to nap in cardboard boxes.
I get along with humans, cats and dogs. I grew up with many other kittens and I like to wrestle and chase them around the house. My foster home has a big dog and even though I don’t interact with her that much, I can sometimes be found sleeping on her bed with her. I can be very playful and will never pass up the opportunity to play with a wand toy.
I am currently on a kibble only prescription diet to prevent any digestive issues and at my forever home I will need to continue on this diet. If there are other cats in the home, precautions will need to be taken to make sure I don’t have access to other food.
Flat White has been diagnosed with eyelid agenisis, likely due to a viral infection while in-utero, affecting the development of his eyelids. He has undergone a procedure at the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in Guelph to inject a filler in order to prevent fur and eyelashes from causing irritation and to be able to close his eyes. He currently requires optix care eye lube applied to his eyes 2-3 times a day. Flat White may potentially require further surgery to reconstruct his eyelids.
