My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nova is ready to join a forever family!

She is a small dog with a BIG personality! Nova is your perfect compact companion. Always ready for an adventure, Nova would make the perfect hiking/walking partner! Nova loves everyone she meets dogs, cats and especially kids! She absolutely loves to play, and would play ALL DAY LONG if you let her! She’s especially great at playing fetch.

This spunky gal will make an amazing addition to just about any family. Her ideal home would be an active one, and/or they’d have a very playful doggy companion but a family that matches both of those things would be make her dreams come true! After a day of playing she loves to settle on the couch and end the day with a good cuddle session. Nova is house trained, walks great on a leash, is a perfect passenger in a car, knows the commands "come", "sit", "go to your pen".

Nova is a pug/shih-tzu mix, and may need the occasional trim with a professional groomer to keep her looking her best!

If you're interested in adding this adorable, energetic puppy to your family, visit our website www.pprct.org and fill out an adoption application!

Additional adoption info

Project Precious has an ever changing group of adoptable dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, please check in frequently to see if your forever friend is waiting for you!

If you are interested in adopting a Project Precious pet, please email ProjectPreciousRescue@gmail.com OR ProjectPreciousRescue2@gmail.com for an adoption application. After receiving your filled out application, we will screen your information and determine if we have a pet that is a good fit for you. There will then be a introduction and home visit, and if all goes well, an adoption contract and fee. When submitting an application, please bear in mind that we do this on our own time in addition to working paying jobs, so it may take a couple of days to get a response. Our adoption fees vary depending on age and type of animal (dog or cat).

More about this rescue

Project Precious Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization dedicated to animal rescue.

We are a small scale rescue based in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Our animals are placed in carefully screened foster homes while they are waiting to find their forever homes - we do not have a facility/shelter.

The mission of PPR is to rescue adoptable animals who may otherwise face homelessness or death, and find them loving forever homes. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care, and we strive to place our animals in carefully screened homes that best match their needs. We rely solely on donations, and do not profit from our work. We rescue on our terms - dogs and cats, and do not discriminate against age/breed. PPR believes every animal deserves a second chance!
