My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

👻🖤 ADOPT ME 🖤👻
Miss Eloise is ready to move on with her life’s journey & find a forever home! Many may remember she was caught on the streets of Detroit after running for her life. Her experience of surviving alone can been seen in some of her personality. We believe her to only be 1-2 years old and maybe a pure miniature Poodle. She has striking features with her luxurious locks and gorgeous hazel eyes.
Some stats on Eloise -
🎃 Eloise is a nervous girly. Although she’s truly dedicated to her foster mother, she will need a caregiver who understands her timid nature. She was starving & alone, fending for herself for a given amount of time. You can see this in her personality as she will scavenge for food or items to collect them. She had probably done this awhile to survive. It will take her time to realize she’s safe & loved in a new environment.
🎃 Kids over 12 due to her flight risk nature. Although she’s been fond of the young people she has met.
🎃 Eloise is good with other dogs & cats, although she will invade their space just due to never being taught boundaries. We feel she would benefit from being placed with another confident dog to show her the dog world properly.
🎃 Anyone interested in giving our sweet girl a forever home will need to be patient with her and let her gradually blossom into the dog she always dreamed of being. Upon meeting her she will not embrace a stranger, she will shy away. She will need adequate reinforcement that everything is going to be just fine.

We have saved many dogs like sweet Eloise from the streets of Detroit now. They often need a reset of their lives & quickly attach themselves to their caregivers because it’s the only comfort they have felt for a long time. It’s quite sad, but also very sweet. It just takes empathy from an individual to overcome the trauma 🖤🧡🖤
Eloise has been spayed, microchipped and is current on all essential vaccinations, including fecal and heartworm testing.

Additional adoption info

Anyone who applies to adopt must fill out an application. We will then review the application to determine if the applicant is a good fit. The next step would be a vet check to review the vaccine and medical history on any current dogs or ones that have passed. If that goes well we then schedule a meet and greet. An adoption contract follows that. Along with follow up phone calls after an adoption.
