My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Teo’s journey is nothing short of miraculous. We first heard about him from a local shelter urgently pleading for help—a dog in “grave” condition who wouldn’t survive the day without immediate intervention. Teo had been found as a stray, suffering from fluid buildup in his lungs and around his heart, with unexplained bruising on his little body. The situation was critical, and there was no time to lose. We rushed him to an emergency hospital where his life hung in the balance. The vet suspected Teo had ingested rat poison, and only a blood transfusion and intensive care could save him. Against all odds, Teo pulled through, showing us just how strong his spirit really is.

Today, Teo is a different dog entirely—full of life, energy, and a zest for the simple joys he almost lost. He’s a vibrant, playful little guy who radiates happiness, as if he knows he’s been given a second chance. His sweetness shines through every wag of his tail, and he has a cuddly side that makes him a joy to be around. Teo’s love for life is infectious; he's always ready for a game or a snuggle and just lights up when he’s around people who show him affection. After everything he's been through, Teo deserves all the love and attention in the world, and he doesn’t hesitate to remind us that he’s here to make the most of every day.

Teo is also quite the social butterfly. He gets along well with other dogs and thrives in social settings, where he’s often the star of the show. He’s been through a lot, but he’s come out stronger and is more than ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a companion who will shower you with loyalty, sweetness, and a dash of charm, Teo might be your perfect match. Could you be the one to give Teo the safe, loving home he truly deserves? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
