My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is ready to find his forever home! This handsome Honey Bear is a delightful snuggle buddy and enjoys cuddling up in bed with you or being tucked into a taco with his favorite fuzzy blanket!

Bear is a sweet and sensitive soul. It’s hard to look at his precious face and not want to smother him with hugs and kisses! As snuggly and loving as he is, Bear prefers to take things slow when meeting new people. Take your time winning him over; present him with small tokens of affection (liver treats or plush toys) and offer him a fish dinner. Play hard to get, if you will. Before long, he'll decide that you're worthy of his love and cozy snuggles!

Bear loves playing with dogs he knows and would enjoy a playful and patient dog companion. Chase and keep away are some of his favorite games. He’d also love a friend to take him under their wing and teach him how to be the goodest boy!

Bear enjoys car rides where he can get a good whiff of the neighborhoods as he passes by. Quiet park trips are another favorite where he can investigate all the happenings without interruption. He’d also love a secure backyard where he can play scent games or roll around like a goofball on his outdoor bed!

Bear needs a calm home without kids or cats. He has some sensitivity around sudden movements and loud noises and would prefer a home where there is a fair amount of predictability.

Bear is around 2 years old, weighs 65 pounds, and  is a true Supermutt! A DNA test on one of his siblings came back as 30% Supermutt, along with smaller amounts of Pit Bull, Shepherd, Boston Terrier, and Husky. What a mix!

Bear will make an incredibly loyal and loving companion for someone looking for a smart, cuddly, and playful pup! If you’re seeking a devoted best friend, Bear could be for you!

Bear’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

More about this rescue

Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a volunteer and foster home based rescue organization focused on saving Pit Bull type dogs. Located in Washington State, we are a 501c3 non-profit and have been saving animals since 2011. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs who are in Washington's shelters, surrendered by their owners due to difficult circumstances or are in danger of abuse or neglect.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the dogs who have lost all hope — the forgotten dogs.
