My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet boy was struggling to survive on his own when his litter was dumped on a country road, but NO MORE! He was saved by some good samaritans and one of our fosters took him in. According to his foster, Aston is a lovebug and very gentle. He has the sweetest little soul. He plays well with his littermates as well as plays solo with his chew toys. He loves nap laps & cuddles the most. He has the cutest cowlick on his neck and his fur goes every which way! Aston is housebroken and right on track with his puppy manners. He sleeps quietly in his crate, but he loves to sleep on the bed with his foster parents. He is great with other dogs, cats and kids! A DNA test done on his sibling shows he's a German shepherd mix! Set up a meet & greet today to meet sweet Aston!

Cody's adopts dogs in the greater DFW area and does not adopt puppies under the age of 6 months into apartment homes.

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
