🐕My Story🐕
Hi there! My name is Jigeum.I’m a wise old soul, a black mixed-breed boy estimated to be born around 2011. I weigh 19 kg (42 lbs), just the right size, and I’m neutered and healthy. For about six years, I wandered the streets, my fur becoming tangled and scruffy, until a kind person finally rescued me. My journey even made the news back in Korea! Those years on my own taught me to be cautious but also gave me a gentle heart and a calm, steady outlook on life. Now, I’m ready to find a cozy home where I can relax and enjoy my golden years with a loving family.

🐶Personality🐶
Meeting new people can make me a bit shy at first, but offer me a treat, and I’ll gladly accept and warm up quickly. Give me three days to a week, and you’ll see my gentle side emerge as I settle in more. I feel a little safer around women, though with time, I can adjust to being around men, too. Once we’ve built trust, I’m okay being lifted with a gentle hand supporting my belly. I’m a calm, steady presence who’s easy to be around and who appreciates a quiet, predictable environment.

👫My Social Side❤️
I’m friendly enough to approach other dogs and say a polite hello, but I’m not one to engage in playtime. High-energy dogs can feel a bit overwhelming, so I prefer quieter company or just enjoying my own space. I avoid conflicts and will walk away if another dog tries to challenge me, and I tend to keep to myself rather than seeking out interactions with other dogs. As for cats, I haven’t had much experience with them, so I’m not sure how I’d react—it’ll be something we can explore together!

🔋My Energy Level & Play🚶
I’m a calm, relaxed dog with a low energy level, happiest when I’m lounging peacefully by your side. Walks are something I enjoy; I may pull a bit on the leash now and then, but I generally follow along well. Exploring with you is a pleasant part of my day, and once we’re done, I’m content to return home and relax. Though I’m usually quiet, I may bark when I see unfamiliar people, just to let them know I’m around.

💌Last Message💌
I’m a laid-back, independent dog who thrives in a calm environment and prefers quiet time over too much socializing. I’m easygoing with humans around my food, but I might give a gentle growl if another dog gets too close while I’m eating—just my way of setting boundaries. And, as a boy, I sometimes mark new places to let others know I was there.

My gentle nature and wise demeanor make me the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, understanding friend. With a bit of patience, I’ll be a loyal and loving presence, bringing warmth, companionship, and a touch of wisdom to your home.
