We originally rescued Heimdall from a shelter in Ventura County, CA in Aug 2018. We had learned we were his 3rd family before he even turned two. Since then he has been a full member of our family, going on hikes/walks, to the beach, and lots of other adventures including a cross country move. We have a 1.5 year old son who is very keen on getting very close and pulling on Heimdall. While he has not caused our son harm yet, we are worried about the possibility. While he has been through a basic training class, he has separation anxiety that means we can’t leave him alone for long and he needs more training and attention then we can give him right now and in the near future. We haven’t made this decision easy, but he does deserve an environment that is more comfortable for him and someone who can give him the attention, cuddles, and training he needs and deserves.
