Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Bebop! Sweet Bebop came to the shelter as a stray and now she is ready to find her new family. Here are a couple fun little facts about Vietnamese Potbelly Pigs: Pig skin is very sensitive to the sun and they can get sunburns just like people. Since they can't sweat, pigs like to wallow in the mud to stay cool and protect their skin. At Lollypop Farm, we actually put sunscreen on some pigs to protect their pink skin! A healthy potbellied pig can grow to weigh 80 - 180 pounds. Many pigs brought to Lollypop Farm are surrendered because they grew too big for the home they were living in. A healthy potbellied pig can live to be between 12 - 15 years old. In our care Bebop has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. If you would like to meet Bebop come the the Escondido Campus. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: Black Weight: 93 Age: 1yrs 1mths 2wks

More about this shelter
San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
