Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
In September 2021, I rescued a malnourished and neglected dog off the streets of South Central Los Angeles. I took her in to my home and named her Nala. After nursing her back to a healthy weight, I discovered that she was actually pregnant. In December 2021, Nala gave birth to 13 puppies, and I cared for all of them.
We hadn't planned to keep Nala long-term. When we first took her in, our first daughter was just six months old. Now, we have a second daughter who is five months old. Unfortunately, our little apartment isn't spacious enough for our growing family and Nala. She deserves a real home with ample space to run and play, and not be confined in a small apartment without a yard.
