Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Originally dubbed "Rotten Mouth Ralph", he's now graduated to just Ralphie! This handsome orange tabs is around 10 years old and joined us from a local TNR organization who helps care for Philadelphia's feral and community cats. When trapped, they found that Ralph had a mouth full of rotten and painful teeth that were clearly impacting his quality of life and ability to care for himself. Ralph has since had dental surgery which left him with just one tooth but feeling better than ever. He's now ready for a life of indoor retirement where he'll be adored daily and always knows when his next meal is coming!
Ralphie has had absolutely no issue with adjusting to life indoors and always uses his litter box. He's currently in foster care with other cats and is comfortable sharing his space with them. He isn't quite as sure about dogs, so we think he'd be happiest in a home without them. He's chatty and attentive and will definitely greet you at the door after work. He clearly loves to interact and get attention but isn't always sure when he's ready for you to stop petting him and may try to nip at you with his one tooth if he gets overstimulated. This may subside or stop once he's completely comfortable in his forever home. We think Ralphie would do best in a home without young children. Ralphie has been fully vetted since being rescued and has proven to be a healthy boy now that his dental troubles have been addressed. And despite being almost tooth-less, Ralphie has no trouble chowing down on his food.
Ralphie is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting him? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
