Roxy and her sister Delilah had tough lives until Kern County Shelter saved them and our loving, skillful foster family took them under its wing. They’re both flourishing in a caring, safe environment. Delilah came to us first and has been adopted.
Roxy is super calm and chill. She’s a sweetheart who comes up to you for pets and rubs, but also is good about giving you space and taking long naps. She loves squeaky toys, chewing on marrow bones, and chasing squirrels. She loves walks and is a very good walker alongside another dog. Roxy isn’t quite officially available for adoption yet but she will be very soon. Among a few other medical issues, she’s had 3 eye conditions going on all at once: uveitis, dry eye and entropion. She has been taking medications and when she is ready she will need surgery to fix her entropion – THEN she will be adoption ready!
Like Delilah, Roxy was also in quite rough condition when she came to us, but she’s making amazing progress in her foster home – both physically and mentally! She’s opening up more and more each day. She’s recently started initiating play with other dogs and is learning that she is now a safe and loved pup.
She is located in LA and can be seen by appointment. If are located in So CA and would like to meet her, please submit our online adoption form:
