My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chester (A136533) is an almost 3-year-old AK Husky mix who weighed 60.4 pounds on intake!

11/07/24 This handsome boy is Chester! Chester was surrendered to the shelter in hopes of finding a home that has more time to spend with him. Chester is a young dog who would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners! He is also looking for a home that will be able to keep him both mentally and physically stimulated. He was described as playful with other animals but ensuring you are making appropriate introductions is key! Chester has no experience with children but was said to do well with strangers and adults! He still does have the habit of jumping up on people when greeting them. Chester was said to love his chest being rubbed and to be quite the cuddle bug! He loves sleeping right between his humans and sharing their pillow! Chester was also said to LOVE looking out the window and watching the world go by. He was said to be crate trained but has recently started regressing with his potty training. Getting him on a set schedule should help with that! Chester was also known to be a defluffer of toys but does enjoy chewing so providing him appropriate outlets is key! If you are interested in meeting Chester, please let us know!
