Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Coco is a tricolor Basset Hound 2yo girl. Her previous family couldn’t keep her longer since they no longer had enough time to spend with her we were told. Coco is a typical Basset! She’s very loving, sweet and playful. We were also told that she was an indoor/outdoor pet at her previous home and that she’s not fully housebroken, they weren’t home all day with her to train her, so she’ll still need some training once she gets adopted.
We’re currently working on crate training, to sleep indoors at night. Coco does well with other dogs and we were told that’s she’s also good with kids and cats.
Included with adoption:
- Wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date
- Fecal test (Pending results)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme) (Pending results)
- Heartworm/Flea/tick preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Spay surgery
- Leash and collar
- Adoption contract
- Some of her current food
Coco is not ready to be adopted yet, she’ll be ready after she gets spayed and heals. To place a hold on a dog that’s not ready to be adopted, we require to sign the adoption paperwork and to place a deposit towards the adoption fee, to ensure adoption commitment, so we stop accepting applications for said dog.
Feel free to fill out our adoption application form if interested in adopting Coco and we’ll get back to you. Pick up is in San Diego, CA. Transportation is also available to the right home, depending on distance.

Additional adoption info
We set up an appointment to meet our available dogs that are ready to be adopted, with potential adopters after their application has been approved. If the dog is a good fit at the meeting appointment, the dog can go home the same day.
We also offer transportation options when the potential adopter is far away and can’t come to meet / pick up a dog from us. Feel free to reach out if interested in adopting but would need transportation.

More about this rescue
We’re a Beagle rescue in San Diego, CA. Although we mainly rescue Beagles, we also receive other hounds in need such as Basset Hounds and Beagle/Basset Hound mixes. We’ve been Beagle owners for the last 8 years and we decided to start rescuing about 4 years ago simply because we love the breed, we love helping hounds finding loving forever homes. So far we’ve placed about 150+ hounds successfully in adoption.
