Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Coco is a tricolor Basset Hound 2yo girl. Her previous family couldn’t keep her longer since they no longer had enough time to spend with her we were told. Coco is a typical Basset! She’s very loving, sweet and playful. We were also told that she was an indoor/outdoor pet at her previous home and that she’s not fully housebroken, they weren’t home all day with her to train her, so she’ll still need some training once she gets adopted.
We’re currently working on crate training, to sleep indoors at night. Coco does well with other dogs and we were told that’s she’s also good with kids and cats.
Included with adoption:
- Wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date
- Rabies Certificate
- Fecal test (Negative results)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme) - (Positive for Erlichia, currently on treatment with antibiotics)
- Meds to treat Ehrichia - Doxycycline: This is a 1 month treatment, once she’s adopted we’ll send her with the remaining meds
- Heartworm/Flea/tick preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Spay surgery
- Leash and collar
- Adoption contract
- Some of her current food
Coco is ready to be adopted! Feel free to fill out our adoption application form if interested in adopting Coco and we’ll get back to you. Pick up is in San Diego, CA. Transportation is also available to the right home, depending on distance.
*Please note: We’re a rescue that specializes in the Beagle breed, therefore, our application is directed to Beagles, when answering the questions please respond with the experience you may have with Basset Hounds, or other Hound breeds, not necessary Beagles.
