Boon is such a good boy. It is a bittersweet thing to be rehoming him.
He was rescued from our local shelter as a puppy in 2018, so he has been with us 6 years now. His favorite thing is being with people, he never wants to leave our side. His breed was bred to hunt wild boar, though he definitely has not been trained for that. Lol. He likes to be outside, he loves the lake, and he loves to run. He knows many tricks and is house trained. We had a second dog for the first 2 years of his life, and they were best buddies. I am not sure how he would do with cats. I have two children and he is very gentle and kind with them, we are just in a place where he has become too much for us to care for with our growing family.
The shelter told us he was a Catahoula Leopard Hound mix, believed to be with shepherd. He likes to talk like shepherds do. :)
He would do well in a home with a yard, and with a family that can give him the time and affection he deserves.
