My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Isacc is a young Pitbull mix.  He may have some great dane/lab or boxer in the mix. He is about 10 months old and will require obedience training. Isacc is about 50 lbs and will likely become more stout as he ages and fills out. He does seem to know the 'sit' command and will do it <sometimes> for a snack.

He is fine with other dogs, BUT will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved.  His companion, Ivan, whom he lived with prior to the shelter is also here and they play well together. We do not know how he is with children or cats.

Isacc is very energetic and will need a lot of exercise.  He loves to go for walks and does ok on the leash but is a work in progress.

Anyone interested in Isacc must stop in during regular business hours to meet him and apply.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
