Odie joined our family of me and 2 other dogs about a year ago, coming from the Riverside animal shelter where he shared a kennel with another dog that wouldn’t let him eat so he’d have to eat outside. From this he’s gotten some resource guarding that’s greatly improved since I got him a year ago but I still have to keep an eye on him and not give him unlimited access to bags of food or high reward treats. He gets along amazingly with my female dog, but does not get along with my other male (mostly because the other male instigates things). They’ve gotten into a small fight before and despite trying to work on it they still don’t get along. He’s very sweet and cuddly and loves human touch. We walk about 2 miles a day and that seems to be enough for him but he can definitely take a more active lifestyle too.
