Jaeger is a handsome 8-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered by his owner on November 5, 2024.
This good-looking older gentleman has a light tan short smooth coat with white highlights on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable frosty face with pale brown eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large semi-erect ears.
These pictures of Jaeger were taken on November 7, 2024 when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied him for his outdoor photo session. Jaeger was naturally more interested in sniffing the scents of dogs who had been in the area before him than posing for Petfinder/Facebook pictures .. But in spite of his efforts, we managed to snap some cute poses (smile).
Jaeger was also interested in conversing with other dogs that he saw being walked in the distance by volunteers. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), we weren't able to translate what he was saying (hee hee).
Jaeger weighs 58.6 lbs and is surprisingly strong on a leash.
Jaeger had an unfortunate incident a few weeks ago when he apparently bit someone (but did not break the skin). We don't know the exact details surrounding the incident, but Jaeger's family went ahead and self-quarantined him for the normal 10-day quarantine period. After the quarantine period, they decided he needed to find another home.
Jaeger has already been neutered, so he could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption (or foster) application.
