Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Woof! Hi there, I'm Lacey! Yep, you heard that rightI'm a fun, playful Chug. That's part pug, part chihuahua! I may not be super yappy like other chihuahuas, but Ill give a little bark now and then if I hear something strange in the house. Keeps the bad guys away, right? Sometimes, I get a bit of the "chihuahua shakes" in new places. Like, when my foster mom zips me up in her coat to go to the kids bus stop, I might shiver a bit. But its totally worth it because I get all the pets from the kids! Guess what? I loooove playing with goats! Yep, met a few recently and had a blast! Im also cool with other dogsbig, small, and even puppies! My current play buddy is a big pittie mix, 65 pounds of fun. I might only be 11 pounds, but dont let my size fool youI can play hard! Im learning some manners too, like waiting my turn when my foster bro has a treat. Sometimes I forget, but a quick "hey!" and I get it. I sleep quietly in my kennel at night, so no whining here! Im mostly potty-trained, as in, I dont want to go inside. But hey, if Im left unsupervised for too long, I might have a little oops. If youre going to be away, just kennel me, and problem solved! I dont mind my kennel one bit. Im super food-motivated (hot dogs? Yes, please!), and Im working on taking treats gently. Im also pretty good on a leash! Id be happiest with a doggie friend since Im so social, but if you take me out to meet other dogs, I could be your one and only too. In the evenings, Ill happily curl up in your lap to watch TV. Right now, Im really into *Lincoln Lawyer* on Netflix! So, what do you sayready to adopt me?

Additional adoption info
Thank you for your interest in adopting from Church of Pug.
Everyone at Church of Pug is a volunteer. We wear many hats - we foster pugs, travel to vet appointments, attend fundraising events, process a lot of paperwork, and more. We make every effort to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but often the days get away from us. For this reason, we will do our best to reach out to everyone. We’ll let you know your application has been received either through a phone call, text or email.
PLEASE take your time completing the below application and fill out questions in detail! This is the information our adoption team will use to make initial determinations when selecting applicants to proceed in the interview process as dogs become available and we begin the process of finding its forever family.
READ the information on each dog's biography page carefully. If you are interested in applying to adopt a dog, please ensure you meet the stated requirements. All of these dogs live with our foster families and that means we know their story -- we understand what they have been through and what they need in a forever home. All decisions are made with the dogs' best interests in mind.
