Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Dodger, the charming shepherd with a heart of gold! When Dodger first arrived at the shelter, he was a bit nervous, but with lots of patience, he's starting to come out of his shell. He thrives when surrounded by his favorite people and has formed strong bonds with those he trusts. Dodger's love for other dogs is evident in his playful demeanor and his eagerness to make new furry friends. With his sharp intellect and insatiable curiosity, Dodger is always ready for an adventure and eager to learn new tricks. If you're seeking a loyal and loving companion who's as smart as they come, Dodger is the perfect match for you!

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary and respected asset within our community. As, “A Different Breed of Shelter” we challenge the stereotypes of traditional animal shelters and believe that the, “Quality of the Wait,” can make all the difference in the future of an animal.
Our Mission
The Mission of the Michigan Animal Rescue League is to provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.
