Jackie is a beautiful 4-year old female (possible) Plott Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 6, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Muskingum River Road in the Lowell Ohio area. Jackie was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.
This sweet girl has a brown/brindle short smooth coat, a long tail, and a lovely face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, a dusting of white on her slender muzzle, and semi-erect ears.
Jackie has a friendly, easygoing personality. The Good Samaritan who gave Jackie a ride to the shelter told us that she 'sat pretty' in the front seat of her car and was a well-behaved lady.
Thanks to HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore for accompanying Jackie for outdoor photos on November 7th and giving her the loving attention that she truly deserved.
Jackie is being housed temporarily in her own private suite (actually our bathroom) since all the dog kennels are currently occupied by other 'guests'. Jackie was looking so comfortable and enjoying soft plush blankets in her bedroom that we couldn't resist taking a few photos (smile).
Jackie weighs 55 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Jackie will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
