Murphy and his siblings were found as 3 week old puppies dumped at a lake in rural Oklahoma. They were taken to a shelter that was no kill at the time. But as they got older and didn't get adopted because there are just not enough homes in Oklahoma, their lives were at risk once again when the chief of police decided to turn the shelter into a kill shelter and ordered all dogs that have been at the shelter for more than 15 days to be euthanized.
Our rescue stepped in and got Murphy and his siblings (and many others) out of the shelter and into out of state foster homes or directly to adopters. All of his siblings have been adopted but Murphy is still waiting for his happily ever after in a foster home in Tacoma. He is about a year old and said to be a lab and beagle mix. Everyone who adopted one of this litter absolutely adores them as they all have great personalities. Murphy is great with all people he meets, dogs of all sizes, and with cats. He is neutered, current on shots, and microchipped.
His adoption fee is $300 which covers the cost of his transport that we paid from Oklahoma to Washington State and some of his vetting.

More about this rescue
Oklahoma Licensed Rescue Number 95
Oklahoma is a bad place for animals. It's the only state that saw an increase in shelter euthanasia rates in 2019. 2020 probably didn't look any different. Strays everywhere, people dumping dogs in the country to fend for themselves, litters of puppies and kittens because people are too cheap or too lazy to fix their pets.
We help these poor souls and find them loving homes in northern states.
