Age: 1 year (as of 11/4/2024)
Weight: 40 lbs (as of 11/4/2024)
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Meet Roscoe! We think this handsome, resilient fellow may be a beagle mix, but your guess is as good as ours! He has been living in an Active foster home with an adult couple, their family (which includes eight dogs and three cats!). Back story: Roscoe climbed a brick pile and kennel area to get INTO the foster’s yard to play with their dogs. It was determined he was dumped or a stray at that location and they agreed to foster him until he could make his way up North! (By the way, since arriving he hasn’t tried to escape their yard)
Roscoe has been interested and playful meeting new dogs and is playful with the resident dogs and cats, although he will chase the cats. He rarely barks except in play with the other pups. Roscoe likes chew toys, squeaky toys, and his newest love is playing fetch. He also loves running and playgroup where playing chase is his favorite activity! After all that play, this affectionate and gentle guy is ready for some chill time with his people to cuddle on the couch or in his crate (which he LOVES).
Roscoe is working on house and leash training. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his human family. It’s lots of fun, too!
If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to bring up Roscoe, then fill out an application today! This intelligent, resilient young pup wants so much to find a family to love!
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not by breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
