My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Jackson. Jack Jack is a 5-year old silky terrier. Jack was a stray and unbelievably he was not reclaimed. He is the sweetest, quirkiest little guy I’ve ever met. He loves other small dogs, but he has the naughty terrier habit of challenging pups bigger than him (little man syndrome). Jack is also a resource guarder, which is easily managed for someone with the time and experience to help him recover. A copy of the book, “Mine” will be included in his adoption to assist in his training.

Jack loves food! He currently weighs a whopping 13 lbs. He will benefit from daily exercise. He loves walks and does well on a leash. He had a dental and lost 12 teeth! What Jack loves the most is his humans, kids, belly rubs and a warm lap. Sleeping in your bed with you would be a plus as he is a snuggle bug.

Ideally Jack would be an only dog, but with proper introductions of dogs he could live harmoniously with small dogs. If he is not the only pet, his resource guarding must be addressed. The good news is his guarding is only related to other dogs.

He has been a delight in his foster home and he will be a great joy to whomever is lucky enough to call this boy their own.

Jack has been neutered and is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.
